‘room service’, 2008
‘room service’, 2008 text: you catch yourself standing in the check-out line. embarrassed for yourself. our definition of
art so progressive and yet. here you are. buying art supplies at the art supply store. in front of you the undergraduate
with a shopping list. behind you the retired hobbyist. is this really any job for an adult? can you really speak of what
you do without cringing? a grown man talking about his feelings. when you're introduced to your friends' friends how
can you begin to explain what you do?
‘rough trade’, 2008
‘rough trade’, 2008 text: guess. no guess again. think back. no that's no even close. remember when i told you i did
something i shouldn't have done? in new york. that guy in the piano bar? yeah. well i did. i fucked him. and he's
here tonight. and you were right. he is the author.
‘not necessary’, 2008
‘not necessary’, 2008 text: before we begin. i'd like to thank everyone who made this evening possible. first there's...
whose countless hours and faith in this project... and... who took the bullet when... and... whose selflessness
opened many doors once closed. and of course... who knew what questions to ask and which to avoid, who
provided the rent when there was none. and to the late... you are all in our thoughts tonight.
